Imagine you have just come home from work, and baby Fido greets you at the door. Fido is very excited and happy to see you. Your small puppy rears up on his hind legs and paws at your shin, demanding attention and offering a loving greeting. You scoop the precious bundle of soft, squirmy fur up into your arms and you happily give each other hugs and kisses.

One year later, your “fur baby” weighs 85 lbs. and races to the door to offer a loving greeting and get some attention. He rears up to give you a kiss. You stagger back under the impact but you are relieved. Yesterday he knocked you down with his exuberance and you bruised your shoulder. Your kids are scared of him. He seems hurt and confused when they won’t play with him, and this just makes him try harder.

The sweet, cuddly fur baby that originally came to live with you is starting to get on your nerves! It’s time to establish rules for the puppy and begin to teach it self control. Self control is the most valuable gift you can give him. Everyone will be much happier once little Fido begins to grasp this concept.

Basic puppy training will help you with:
   “Potty Training” your puppy
   Teething and Chewing
   Crate Training
   How to greet people appropriately.
   Basic Clicker Concepts

This is a three week course, and is offered in class , one-on-one training sessions conducted in your home, and via Skype. Ask your veterinarian which format is appropriate for your puppy. The best time to start teaching your new dog is the day you bring it home to live with you.
